reproduction "giclèe" fine art archival print, 16x20 inches, of the classic rock of ages image by Bill the Beachcomber Matthews of Corpus Christi, Texas, circa 1950s.
"Bill the Beachcomber" Matthews tattooed in Corpus Christi, Texas at his beach side curio and tattoo at 2810 Surfside, starting in the 1950s. However Bill tattooed in Texas starting in the 1930s in neaby coastal Galveston. Bill avidly communicated with many tattooers including LR Dean, Percy Waters, Dutch Van Dee, Paul Rogers, Ernie Carafa and many others. He continued tattooing in the Surfside shop until he died in 1984.
Prints were made from an large scale original hand-painted sheet of BTBM tattoo flash.
the sheet was professionally printed and produced on 300 weight, archival, matte paper using only fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. this sheet is the closest to the original sheet as could be possibly made.
