screen printed, hand drawn and colored sign for honest charlies tattooing shop in san antonio texas. done on vellum. possibly it was a master or screen print for signs or shirts.
quality is worn and used. also has a fairly large rip in the side.

Beginning to tattoo in the mid 1960s, Honest Charlie Potter began to tattoo "bikers and outlaws" in various clubhouses around San Antonio. In 1969, Charlie opened his world famous and renowned shop on "Snake Hill", located at the entrance of San Antonio's Fort Sam Houston army base, tattooing 1000s of soldiers over a 40 year period. To begin to try capture the magic, memories and essence of the Snake Hill shop is impossible but having a live circus bear as a shop mascot, inside the shop, begins to capture that essence. that was just the beginning.
