original antique 1910s amund dietzel & frank kelly tattoo flash snake dagger
very damaged cuts of original hand painted tattoo flash by amund dietzel of milwaukee, WI and lesser known tattooer frank kelly, of detroit.
2 flash cuts mounted on acid free cardstock. size of card stock is 9x11 inches.
on the right is the AD flash. it was so dry and brittle it started falling apart upon receipt years ago. acid free glue has been applied to the remaining pieces to reassemble most of that cut. obviously it cannot be removed from the backing without further destruction.
on the left is the "copied" frank kelly snake it is attached to backing by acid free tape.
really cool to see the master flash painter AD copied by another early tattooer.
