antique original dutch vandee texas huge rock of ages cross tattoo flash 25x33
huge original hand painted, on canvas, with oil paint of iconic rock of ages imagery. most likely painted pre-1930. this painting was included in the "Texas Flash collection" and was owned by Dutch VanDee. it was most certainly painted by another tattooer and not Dutch as his style was very different and primitive
condition is very worn as this hung in multiple shops most likely. it has repair on the back side of the canvas done many years ago. some areas of the painting have wear and cracking.

25.5x32.5 inches.
Dutch Van Dee (1901-1974) was a prolific and influential central Texas tattooer, carnival/sideshow operator, boxer, wrestler, outlaw, and wild man, leaving 20 aliases behind in his wake. Dutch was the owner of the "Texas Flash Collection", one of the largest collections of antique and vintage tattoo flash ever collected.
